🎧 DJ Setup Guide with SL-DJ

1. Creating Your DJ Account

1. Log into your AzuraCast station dashboard
2. Navigate to Streamers / DJ Accounts
3. Click Add Streamer and fill in:
   • Username: e.g., dj_example
   • Password: something secure
   • Set permissions and save
4. Go to Broadcasting and click Restart Broadcasting

2. Finding Your Connection Info

To configure your DJ software, you’ll need:

• Server Address: Found under Profile → Streamer Connection Info or Station Page
• Port: Usually something like 8000
• Mount Point: Typically /live
• Username: your DJ name (e.g. dj_example)
• Password: the one you chose

3. Configuring DJ Software

🎵 VirtualDJ

• Open VirtualDJ → Settings → Broadcast
• Select Radio Server
• Enter your:
  • Server: e.g. stream.sl-dj.net
  • Port: e.g. 8000
  • Mount: /live
  • Login: dj_username
  • Password: yourpassword

🎚️ Mixxx

• Go to Preferences → Live Broadcasting
• Set:
  • Type: Shoutcast
  • Host: stream.sl-dj.net
  • Port: 8000
  • Mount: /live
  • Username: dj_example
  • Password: yourpassword

📡 BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool)

• Go to Settings → Main
• Add a new server:
  • Server Address: stream.sl-dj.net
  • Port: 8000
  • Password: dj_username:yourpassword
  • Mountpoint: /live
  • Shoutcast: depends on what SL-DJ shows under “Type”

📻 SAM Broadcaster

• Go to Encoders → Add → MP3 (or AAC)
• Select Shoutcast
• Fill in:
  • Server IP: stream.sl-dj.net
  • Port: 8000
  • Password: dj_example:yourpassword
  • Mount: /live
